Other Swedish bands
The Radio Dept turned me on to a lot of Swedish bands 5 years ago: The Bear Quartet, The Knife, Isolation Years, Franke, Laakso, David & The Citizens, Audrey, Jens Lekman, etc.
So much so that I eventually moved from London to Stockholm, Sweden
Are you fan of any other Swedish bands or are you more interested in musical genres like shoegaze, indie, electro pop, etc. ?

Re: Other Swedish bands
There are too many awesome bands/musicians from Sweden.
We all know that the band loathe labrador and all the bands on that label, so I wont mention them.
You should all look into the bands on the Friendly noise label. They're all pretty good. Very electro

Re: Other Swedish bands
I'm a complete sucker for the Swedish music, and there are a slew of Swedish bands like Laakso, Audrey, Testbild!, Logh, Ef, Love is All and many many many more, it's really great to see how Swedish Post-Rock scene thrives, i mean bands like Immanu El, Pg. Lost, Sickoakes, Jeniferever, September Malevolence and i'll come to a halt here for i might leave out some fascinating bands. And i'm really attracted to some Swedish Ambient/Dark ambient and Noise, or whatever you name it, bands and artists. And Swedish Electronica is quite extraordinary and appealing.
You can take it as a testament to my being a sucker for the Swedish music: http://www.last.fm/user/Astro-kopp

Re: Other Swedish bands
I love swedish post-rock bands.
But it's kinda strange and awesome how they're completely different to bands from other nations. They just do it.. in a different way.
I Am Responsible is one of my records of the year and Jonathan by pg.lost is up there in my songs of the year.

I saw Jeni last night. They were supporting iLiKETRAiNS on their uk tour.astro-kopp wrote:Jeniferever
Really really fucking boring. I love their records, but i was really bored watching them live.
I don't know why that is, but they just made me feel very lethargic.
The set list wasn't very good either. bah, maybe it was just an off day.
I must also say that they are very delicate little boys/elves

I don't know what it was. The music they played was good, but just.. lacked something.
I still say it's worth seeing them live.
Maybe it was just the setlist, just wasn't very gripping.
I live in Yorkshire, the home of iLiKETRAiNS, so i've seen them far too many times and they sound like they do on record, booming vocals and awesome drumming.

Yeah, it happens when certain bands simply don't live up to your anticipations. As i see you've got a great experience in seeing iLiKETRAiNS every now and then, but lets guess for the best and assume that Jeniferever had a tough day and that's why they put on a much boring show
